If you were blessed with the kind of Dad I have, then you'll know the feeling when you're making a meal of dragging yourself out of a swimming pool and they find it amusing to place a hand on your head and gently and with a grin push you back down into the water (comparable behaviour between me and my sister was, of course, dubbed 'childish') while your kiddy muscles fight pointlessly but with a kind of half-hearted amusement.
I feel a bit like that today, only without the amusement, and the person pushing me back down certainly isn't wearing a grin.
Focus, Stuart, focus.
Man, I'm looking forward to a break.

So what are they wearing?
And how do you wear a grin anyway? Surely it'd leave your 'bits' exposed - very embarassing...
I'm missing the point here, aren't I...
Salmon day eh?
Not just salmon. I think maybe a narwhal attempting the same route as a salmon.
That salmon/narwhal comment made it all perfectly clear. So in keeping with that image, those salmon sometimes "rest" a bit before doing all the jumping up the damn rapids...they sort of sit in the river gently waving their bodies back and forth to stay in place, they don't move forward but they don't move backwards either. They just hold steady for a bit 'till they have the energy to push on. so maybe today is just a hold steady day...hang in there.
My sister used to do that to me. Until I broke her fingers and tore her arm out at the root and beat her to death with it. Now she's stopped.
I suspect that's probably not the kind of break Stuart's hoping for, D.
Hope things are better soon - guess this isn't the time to mention 'muh' again?
don't let it get you down - just watch a crappy film and you may (or may not) forget about it all. okay, my advice sucks. but i tried..
