1. Monged about.
2. Spent as little money as possible (Score!)
3. Went for two jogs (in shorts! in the snow!) and one long walk (unbelievable I know, but Score!)
4. Gently polished the piece for Konvolut. (Er...)
5. Do some other writing (Score! but only a little one)
6. Played excessive amounts of SSX3
7. Watched the final seven episodes of season one of 24. Hot damn.

Veni, Vidi, Bibi

The Coffee Shop Of Your Very Dreams sits squarely in the corner of the forum of a large town on the West Coast of Italy, around two thousand years ago from the present. The town sits on rolling foothills against a beautifully serene nearby peak which is partially occluded by passing white clouds, and a gentle breeze is blowing through the cypress trees.

That's right. Hitch up your togas, slap on the sandals and gather round. We're gonna show these Romans that there's a new-fangled browny-black hot drink that they'd really like...

Orders please.

I know they don't call it Italy around here yet but it's still the same place so I'll have to go for that most italian of coffees, the espresso.

Just the one, mind, I want to get some sleep tonight. ;-)

Red wine with honey please, and a Caesar salad. *rolls up trouser legs and gets grape trampling*

I'm a little cold; can I get a hot chocolate with marshmallows? Heavy on the chocolate please.

Vino Rosso anche per favore

A chilled glass of Frascati Superiore and a Caprese Salad please. *salivates*

Sod the coffee. I'll have a glass of the valpolicella, thanks.

And something for yourself; I know what hard work this is.

Coffee coffee coffee. Any type.

'Furtive look across the table'

Isn't 24 good.

'Furtive look the other way'

;-)

*frowns*

Yes, 24 is good.

*does a quick check for emergency exits*

Why?

Nooooo.. Go to Costa! Costa, I say! And don't order anything with milk - cuz the milk is EVIL!

*considers retiring from the coffee shop business because everything is getting way too confusing*

Anna - um, would you like a coffee? It's virtual. It won't challenge your employers in any way. And the milk is fine and perfectly fresh, thank you. You can talk to Daisy if you like. She's chewing the cud in the kitchen whilst waiting to be hooked up to the Ultimate Coffee Machine.

(whispers: *don't let her near the donkeys*)

Oh, ok, make it a double espresso then.. an Irish one at that :)

Is it still legal to Mong by yourself?

24 is great. Watched the first series in 3 days.

Have the second series on DVD waiting. Someone needs to still buy me the third.

I'll have a tall skinny cappuccino, thanks.

There's a third?

Dear sweet merciful 20th Century Fox TV Productions.

How does one mong oneself?

It's not a reflexive verb, Anna.
Thankfully.

You just...mong about.

Um.

Can you mong with a girl too?

The third series is currently on Sky but I wanted to watch the second first so ...

I think monging needs to er, come out of the closet. Monging is the act of being slothful and indolent, often at weekends, during periods of unemployment etc etc. It may or may not involve extended periods wearing a dressing gown, daytime TV, computer games, coffee and/or stretching breakfast out so in an indirect and relaxed way it manages to last about six hours. Strenuous physical activity is not monging. Doing anything productive- not monging. The only kind of activity allowed is basic cooking, and mooching around the house gently in your slippers. Hence 'Monging about'.

I thannayow.

An espresso please, and a big bundle of towels, as my washing machine has just flooded the kitchen.

Arg arg arg quick - the togas.

Just a cup of tea please. And a biscuit. Plain chocolate digestive please.

Is there a newspaper kicking around somewhere?

i think a vanilla steamer (that's sweet, vanilla-flavored steamed milk) for me...i'm feeling to edgy for caffeine today.

How was the party?

If thats @me, it's this saturday to come.

Ahh, ok, then I 'mong about' quite a lot.. hey, that's going to be my new word, thanks!

No, Shiv had an Oscar's-watching thing last night...and I know, Adrian, because I'm still trying to find a way to come!

What's holding you back?

The impending sating of my wanderlust and my sense of financial responsibility.

But to be honest I don't think the last one will last much longer.

Did I mention the vodka jellies?

Trust me Adrian, you didn't need to...

Vodka jellies? you can make them? ooh, tell me how!

I can't. I tried once. I failed.

But the bar I'm having my party cum blogmeet at does some mean Bad Boy Vodka Jellies.
