Aye up, people!
Brits: Welcome back to work, huh.
Everyone else: We had yesterday off - ner ner ner-ner ner.
There have been a lot of CDs in the post lately.
Estee sent me two fantastic CDs which I found waiting for me when I got back to Hatfield last night. I haven't had a chance to listen to them both - there is an Upbeat and a Downbeat mix, and I had the Upbeat one on last night, and 'twas very cool. I am extremely envious of your CD-Rs, Estee...they look like vinyl...like little mini 45s...I want some!
This morning saw the arrival of 'Danger - High Voltage', the latest and greatest mix from Krissa, just as I was leaving the house. There was a bit of near-catastrophic CD juggling on the bus on the way into work this morning, but I think I got away with it.
Whilst crashing at greenhamster's on Friday night, he endured a very trying converstional tactic of mine...which I swear is involuntary, and I have little control over - to turn EVERY topic under the sun around to talking about Krissa. And despite this monosubjectal conversation from me, still found it in his heart to provide me with new music - CDs by the likes of Willis, Jet and Sia have been spinning their ways through my stereo over the last few days...and they're rawking my face.
And while I'm at it, I will take some much-belated time to thank Pix, whose excellent mix CDs I recieved just before bogging off to New York, and were the soundtrack to my flights...and also the subject of much covetousness amongst the New Yorkers. There was a straight mix and a covers CD...both of which could be used to run the fridge if there was a power cut; they're that cool.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Now I am going to have to take eight days off to listen to them all properly.
Cool.

How about a nice cup of coffee and a biscuit, Stuart?
Why thank you Karen.
How very kind of you.
Heh. Damn cheek.
I got Bushy: Hiya, DJ NuMark: Hands On, Quantic: Apricot Morning and Quantic Soul Orchestra: Stampede
And they would all appear to rock like a sausage. Which is nice.
I'm assuming that you mean full-on cumberland thick sausages, as opposed to meagre, Asda-special made-entirely-from-bread sausages.
Also, I have never heard of any of those artists, which is cool.
aie! i remember pixes mixes--care to toss a copy this way, sugarplum?
Shiv dear, I can do you a personalised copy of the pix mixes if you'd like... and can either post it, or send it via krissa-mail on her return to the US after her visit...
Let me know...
