A New Day At Midnight

| | Comments (11)

Fucking hell.

The French pull back to 2-1, both goals in stoppage time.
Kilroy is off to Brussels.
Peter Andre is in our charts.
Big Brother.

It is a dark, dark day indeed in the British Isles. Who will rescue us in our time of need? Who will come to save us from the darkness? We as a nation have great need of a hero, someone bright of eye and light of heart, quick of wit, strong of arm, brave of soul and white of tooth to step up and take on the challenge!

Someone with the strength and wisdom to guide us from the darkness, and lead us blinking into the brightness of a new dawn.

Well I'm only offering coffee, but it's a start.

The Coffee Shop Of Your Very Dreams is back, baby.

Orders please.

Don't forget the rugby. I'll have an all black coffee please.

Since i just finnished packing (finally going home again), i can now relax and sit down for a cup of tea, please... something refreshing. I'm going south again and expect it to be warm and summerlike over there. Mint tea perhaps? I can't wait to see my Turkish and Moroccon neighbours again!

I'll have an iced mocha valencia please.

With lashings of whipped cream and some dark chocolate sauce drizzled over the top.

"British Isles"? Really? I think some parts of it are quite happy actually.

I'll have anything French please. ;-)

I saved myself from The Darkness - I refused to listen to any of their 'records'.

Little black number for me, please.

To drink, that is...

Oooh! A Fruit Pastilles ice lolly, please.

damn, adrian, you took away what was surely mine for the gloating. ner ner, 36-3!
On the other hand, however, england beat the black caps, they didn't even need a fifth day..

oh yeah, a coffee frescato, please..

predictably, i'll have an iced americano. but i'll wave a tiny british flag if you give me one. rah rah, britannia!

mocha. peppermint. cold. double.
please.
the brain cells need a kick start.

Don't despair -- at least you have some reason for great national pride this morning...or so says Richard Branson, anyway: http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/europe/06/14/branson.record.reut/index.html

With that to lift your preternaturally darkened spirits, perhaps you could whip me up something to lighten my own spirits on a gloomy boring Monday: say, a nice big bottle of some dry red wine. Yes, I know you're a coffee joint, but I'm sure you have *something* hidden in the back.
