For the last couple of days, when I get home from work, I have changed out of my work things, pulled on a pair of shorts, and laid down in the grass in my garden.
The sun isn’t on the grass at that time of the evening, but the sky has been clear, with the odd vapour trail lacing slowly across the paling blue, and the air cooling deliciously. My pulse slows, my mind lengthens and calms. Even the sounds of the roads and the neighbours' laughing kids seem to be a soothing kind of peace when I can feel the grass around me.
It’s a break, it’s a boundary from the jerking reactions of using a computer at work, the constant juggling of five or six tasks, to just lie there and stare into the sky, or close my eyes and let my mind drift off for a bit listening to the birdsong in the soft pressing coolness of the grass.
And then I go inside and play incredibly violent video games.

I've been playing video games lately when I should really be doing other things. But your case sounds kind of like you might be a video game Ninja. You go outside, lie in the grass, find your center, gain peace with nature, and then go kick the ever-loving shit out of some pretend bad guys.
I like the idea very much...
What are you playing at the moment?
True Crime: Streets of LA.
'Tis tres bon.
I want a garden. Not fair. :-)
I like sleeping in the garden - not at night time obviously - although I managed to fall asleep in direct sunlight the other day and the red nose/cheeks/forehead make me look like some kind of red panda.
