Ah yes. Thats such an ace building isn't it? :)
ahh, lovely.
I'm glad you appreciate this time off you've got. You're going to be back in offices before you know it - make the most of what you've got, mister.
*jealous*
Is that the library that they used in that disaster movie... Day before yesterday or whatever it was called?
I thought they burnt all the books to keep warm!! ;-)
I love that building. The very first place I ever went in New York.
I could never get any work done there, though - far too busy looking around at everything else.
Great shots!
Beautiful. My favorite building in NY.
They have the nicest payphones.
But they don't let anyone borrow the gorgeously erudite books. Whine. For that, there's the depressing library across the road.
Gordon: yes! Apparently. I haven't seen the film but every time I say I've been to the library my Mother mentions it.
Bridal: It's not that bad! It's a good loaning library. This one is a Research and Reference Library, and you've got to admit, it's a good one.
They also don't let anyone sit on the floor!
i love that library. it is one of my favorite places in new york and i'm quite jealous that you get to be there each day.
Is that also the library where Dustin Hoffmann met whatsherface (leading female character) in Marathon Man?
Jez: NO IDEA. I'll ask next time I'm in.
It looks like only some of the shots of the library in The Day After Tomorrow feature the actual library (for instance, when everyone's running up the stairs on 42nd Street to escape the tidal wave).
But the overhead shots...so not!
And that concludes my nerdy contribution. ;)
